How is Afghan Hash Made?

Step 1 – Harvest & Dry: Indica buds are harvested and dried under controlled conditions to preserve the potency of the trichomes.
Step 2 – Trichome Collection: The dried material is either rubbed over a fine screen (traditional “charas” method) or subjected to agitation in ice-water baths to separate the resin glands (bubble-hash technique).
Step 3 – Pressing: The collected trichomes are heated and pressed using a hydraulic press, often with a small amount of natural binding agents (in our case, local tea) to enhance the aroma and consistency of the hash.
Step 4 – Curing: The pressed hash is placed in a cool, dark place for a few weeks to allow the flavors to mature and the potency to become stable.
